Summary

There's so much to discover in this ingenious book! Read the funny rhyming text, lift the flaps, and learn the letters of the alphabet。 And when you're finished, flip the book and have fun with the play scene on the reverse!

The flaps in the copy we borrowed from the library are very thin and easily tear making this not appropriate for a child under 5。

Although this didn't particularly excite me, I did like the idea behind the different alphabet letters linked to the locality。 I would use this as a wall chart in the classroom (as it folds out) and encourage children to identify letters when they are out and about town with parents and then present to the class which letters they have spotted, linking learning to themselves。 Although this didn't particularly excite me, I did like the idea behind the different alphabet letters linked to the locality。 I would use this as a wall chart in the classroom (as it folds out) and encourage children to identify letters when they are out and about town with parents and then present to the class which letters they have spotted, linking learning to themselves。 。。。more

Take any young child along Alphabet Street and they will love visiting all the shops, like Alphie's Bakery and Super Toys, or discovering what's inside King's Laundromat and that store with the interesting name, Yackety Zach's! When you hold the book, you can tell it's going to be cute。 You can tell it's going to be a fun structure but there is much more between the two covers。 This is a flap book with various store fronts featured along Alphabet Street。 I love flap books because they keep your child's attention so much easier! 。The best part of this b #partner Thank you to @candlewickpress for this review copy。 "Alphabet Street" by Jonathan Emmet and Ingela P。 Arrhenius is available now!。What a fun book for your kids! Such a unique book and your child will be so captivated once they realize they can pull the pages out and really get into the story!。This is a great book for your little ones! I highly recommend it! As with most books from the Nosy Crow imprint of Candlewick Press, the books are innovative and interesting and always appealing to child (and adult)。 Alphabet Street offers the unusual fold out book that elongates into a "street" where the alphabet can be visualized。 You start out at Alfie's Bakery which is right next door to the Cat who is preparing Coffee and Donuts。Toward the end of the street which is toward the end of the book, you have the Queen's Restaurant where in the loft over the res As with most books from the Nosy Crow imprint of Candlewick Press, the books are innovative and interesting and always appealing to child (and adult)。 Alphabet Street offers the unusual fold out book that elongates into a "street" where the alphabet can be visualized。 You start out at Alfie's Bakery which is right next door to the Cat who is preparing Coffee and Donuts。Toward the end of the street which is toward the end of the book, you have the Queen's Restaurant where in the loft over the restaurant the Quails are quarreling。 I just love this delightful book that even has its own pretty ribbon to tie it closed。I highly recommend。DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary copy to facilitate a review。 Opinions are mine, alone and are freely given。 。。。more

Review first posted at https://twirlingbookprincess。com/ 。。。more

This new lift-the-flap ABC book is such fun! It folds all out and makes a giant street with the building being represented by letters of the alphabet。 What a great romp through the neighborhood! The pictures under the flaps are wonderful as well - they tell their own little stories。 This is one I can adults and children enjoying together and then the kids taking it all on their own and enjoying it some more!

This pop-up book is so creative and will inspire hours of play and learning。 The book is full of fun and quirky rhymes that take the reader through the shops and to meet the people on Alphabet Street, all the while leaning the letters and sounds along the way。 But that’s not all!
